Ottawa's final city is also it's smallest. The City of Hedged Communities is comprised of just three neighbourhoods and 5,300 people (0.5% of Ottawa's total population). This city is also by far the wealthiest. Income is 4 times higher than the city average, and over half of residents are classified as high income earners. 94% of residents are homeowners, and 96% of housing are single detached homes (almost all of which was built before the 1990's). While 24% of residents are immigrants, only 14% of individuals are racialized and just 6% speak a primary language other than French or English. More than three-quarters of residents have a university education, and workers are employed in the management, business and public service sectors. Residents are fairly fixed in place over time, and 83% of households are categorized as traditional families. In short, this city represents a strong concentration of wealth into just two neighbourhoods.
